COLUMBIA, Sc. -- If there’s a 2019 in the country who seems poised to blow up, it is AC Flora (SC) wing Christian Brown. Limitless potential is the easiest way to describe this lanky and athletic wing. He has began to star for the loaded Georgia Stars 2019 team who have shown in the last 2 months that they are one of the best 15U teams in the entire nation.
Christian, or CJ as people call him, is a 6’6 wing with crazy athleticism and long + lanky frame. He is super explosive going to the rim and finishes through or on defenders. His motor is great and he plays relentlessly on both ends of the floor. He has huge potential and is already showing signs that he can be a very good shooter, albeit at the moment he is streaky.
His AAU coach with the Georgia Stars 15U team, Chris Williams, had only good things to say about this athletic wing: “Chris is a freak of nature athlete. He’s got a few things to work on here and there that will make him one of the top wings in his class without a doubt, but nothing major. I expect big things from this kid come July.”
SLAM Magazine’s Rodger Bohn, who has seen Christian a ton over the last few months, had this to say: “When his jumper is falling, 6'6 Christian Brown of Georgia Stars is one of very best wings in class. He has a good motor, athleticism, and fast developing skill.”
His recruitment is slow but on the verge of exploding. Georgia Southern offered him a scholarship when he was in the 7th grade, and Clemson offered during the second live period in Indy after a great performance. He has interest from countless high major schools, as would be expected. We see a slew of offers coming during July as schools try to get involved with one of the best 2019 players in the country.
When 2019 rankings start to slowly creep out over the next few months, don’t be surprised to see Christian’s name near the top. He’s that good. Not to mention he’s a great kid off the court too.
